COVID UPDATE FOR OUR PATIENTS 9 July 2021

We would like to reassure our patients that fertility treatment is allowed to continue despite the increased COVID-19 safety measures that come into effect at 5 pm today (9 July 2021).

We are all in this together.  We are asking all of our patients to strictly adhere to the new health orders so that you, our staff and your fellow patients stay safe and we can remain open.

Please regularly check the exposure sites and follow the NSW Health directions at all times.

We remind our patients on cycle to regularly check their temperature at home and closely monitor their own health for any cold or flu-like symptoms.  Please don’t pop a cold and flu tablet and soldier on at this time.  If you have symptoms, please get a COVID-19 test and do not attend our clinic.  Find a testing site here.

Even if your COVID-19 test is negative, we cannot have patients with cold or flu-like symptoms into our clinic at this time.  If members of our team have cold/flu like symptoms, they too need to leave our clinic to get tested, isolate and remain at home until symptom free and this can lead to disruptions in service.

Please only arrive at our clinic at your designated appointment time. We understand the weather is cold and a bit miserable right now, but we must limit numbers entering our facility. We do so to minimise potential exposure should the unfortunate situation arise of a positive case in the clinic. We ask that you wear appropriate clothing and wait outside or stay safely in your car until your appointment time.

Screening at our door remains critically important.  Our Nurse or colleagues in the Hospital will ask you a series of questions and check your temperature. We ask that you are honest and declare anything you are aware of.  Ideally, call our clinic before arriving if you have any questions or are unsure.  Please use the QR code as you enter.

Masks continue to be mandatory at our clinic.  We ask you always wear your mask appropriately.

The restriction on partners / support people and children attending our clinic and going into procedure rooms remains in place.  We know this is heartbreaking to some of our patients, and it is to us, too.  But again, we are trying to remain open and stay safe – so we need to have these rules in place at this time.

Andrology and sperm freezing appointments will be rescheduled (unless urgent). Our team will be in contact where applicable.

We require witnessing of documents to be performed by telehealth (not in our clinic) and our team can provide you instructions, if required.

We thank our patients who have shared that they have symptoms and as a precaution have put off starting or even cancelled their treatment.  Our team thank you for thinking of our team’s wellbeing and that of your fellow patients.  Please be assured that, if you cancel your treatment as a precaution, there will be no out of pocket expense to you and we will proactively prioritise your next treatment, when you are healthy and it is safe to do so.

Take care.  Our team is here for you.
