Dr Rabia Shaikh is an experienced obstetrician/gynaecologist and a leading fertility specialist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) before obtaining a Master in Reproductive Medicine (MRMed) at the University of New South Wales and a fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG). Dr Shaikh has also completed subspecialist qualification through a Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), the highest qualification for fertility specialists in Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Shaikh has undergone advanced laparoscopic training at Westmead, Northshore and Mater Hospitals with leading laparoscopic surgeons and has worked at a number of teaching hospitals across New South Wales. She is a visiting medical officer at Nepean Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital. Dr Shaikh is also a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, teaching students at Nepean and Westmead Hospitals.
Dr Shaikh has a special interest in endometriosis and infertility and provides expertise in the areas of male and female fertility, including ovulation induction, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), fertility preservation for oncology patients, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr Shaikh provides each of her patients with compassionate and comprehensive care.
Dr Shaikh is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
